Look like you belong anywhere

Build CEO confidence with quiet style

F1 race weekend thoughts

Writing this from the Monaco Grand Prix, there’s one thing I keep noticing from the billionaires and execs around me - their presence.

They walk like they belong.

They talk like they know the room.

And they intentionally present themselves with clean, effortless style.

No flexing - just quiet confidence knowing exactly who they are.

But it doesn’t take a Monaco lifestyle to carry that same energy.

Start with how you dress - the rest will follow.

This week:

👔 Build CEO confidence through style

- Why “stealth wealth” wins
- The power of dressing for your body type
- Personalize yourself through minimal accessories

REAL CONFIDENCE
IS SILENT

Quiet style in TV form

Who’s typically the wealthiest in the room?  You’d never know by looking at them.

Most CEOs don’t wear logos or flashy clothing, they wear confidence.

Easy, intentional, and timeless - this is what to aim for with your style choices, even if you aren’t a CEO...yet.

‘Stealth Wealth’ is being confidently quiet

Quiet luxury became a trend a few years ago but it’s really how successful men have been dressing for decades.

Flawless fits consisting of premium materials and neutral colors have always been the sign of CEO success.

And it’s really simple…elevated basics like quality tees, knit polos, neutral tailored pants, and minimalist leather sneakers are the foundation you can build off of.

Well over $1K outfit

Take Iman, for example - nothing flashy but it all works.  He could get dressed in the dark and still come out looking well put together.

Dress for your body, not someone else’s

Confidence is often tied to how well clothes fit.

The most confident men know their body type and dress to complement it, not to copy a trend that wasn’t meant for them.

Instead, you should copy others who have the same body type as you.  And then find brands with clothes that fit your body type so that you’re highlighting your strengths and accenting your features.

For instance:

If you’ve got broad shoulders, avoid anything that makes your upper half look even bigger  like shoulder pads in blazers or horizontal stripes on your upper body.

Instead unstructured blazers or solid dark tones will give you a more proportional look between your upper and lower body.

Or if you’ve got a wider/rounder waist, avoid anything that brings attention to your midsection like skinnier pants or bigger belt buckles.

Instead opt for a stretchy pant like Levi’s 541 that has the classic Levi’s styling but with a forgiving athletic fit around the upper leg and waist.

Add polish with your own signature

When you’ve nailed your style, tweak it ever so slightly with your own personal touches.

This might be a vintage watch, a bracelet you picked up while traveling, or a go-to pair of sunglasses - whatever adds an extra element of your personality.

Just don’t overdo it - confident style typically says a lot more with a lot less.

Beyond style: The best CEOs show confidence in how they look and in how they sound.  Communication skills matter.

Work on:

  • Slowing down

  • Speaking clearly

  • And making eye contact

It may feel weird at first, but recording yourself speaking is one of the fastest ways to get better.  You’ll catch filler words, pacing issues, and areas where your delivery could be stronger.

While style plays a foundational role in your confidence, how you deliver your message is truly the difference maker for a lot of men.

WHAT’S NEW

Sunglasses are the best accessory for the summer by far. For men, they can also be one of the harder accessories to match up to your style. I like to keep a few pairs based on where I’m going or what I’m doing.

I’ve got some ideas on what could work for you this summer.

You ever feel like you’re just guessing with sizes when you shop online? Especially when it’s a brand you’ve never worn before?
