How to look 10x better this summer

Simple style changes with real results

The difference is in the details

There’s no better time than now to take advantage of what’s in front of you.

Summer doesn’t just shift the weather, it shifts everything.

People are out - you’re running into old friends at weddings, meeting new ones on patios and saying yes to last-minute plans that turn into something memorable.

The energy’s lighter, the pace is looser, and the opportunities are there if you want them.

That’s what makes this the moment to tighten things up.

This week I’ve got a few simple style upgrades that will get you looking sharp no matter where summer takes you.

This week:

👕 Shirt tweaks that make a huge difference

🩳 The perfect short length

☀️ Why your tan matters

💇‍♂️ The beachy hair rule

🕶️ Sunglasses that fit your face

TURN HEADS
WITHOUT TRYING

I’ve spent a lot of time figuring out what actually works when it comes to summer style - not just what looks good in a photo, but what feels effortless in real life.

These five things changed the game for me.

It starts with your collar

Leaving the top one or two buttons undone opens up the neckline and makes the shirt feel less stiff.

It also gives space to show a bit of chest or let a chain sit naturally, small details that adds shape and makes the whole outfit feel more relaxed.

Cuban collars and soft polos do this well without needing much else.

Then there’s the shorts

Shorts that hit above the knee just look sharper. They help your proportions, give you a cleaner silhouette, and tend to just look more put together.

Avoid logos and cargo pockets- you just need a good fit and a neutral color. You’ll wear them more than you think.

The tan makes a difference

You don’t need a deep tan, but a bit of color, especially on your arms, neck, and face, brings out definition and helps light-colored clothing look better.

And it won’t take much so be sure to use sunscreen and avoid burning.

Let the hair grow a little

A slightly longer cut in the summer gives your hair some movement and takes the edge off a look that might otherwise feel too styled.

If your current cut feels too tight or precise, let it loosen up and work with the texture.

It’s summer, get a bit carefree with the flow.

Sunglasses matter more than you think

The right pair can define your face, clean up a look, and carry you through a full day outside.  Rather than trying what’s in fashion and trendy, focus on matching the frame to your face shape.

You only really need one good pair so once you find the one that fits properly, you’re good to go.

Try one thing that makes you feel more confident this week.

Then build on it.

And then let these become the habits that make you look and feel better every time you step out the door.
